The road up to the top of Fort Mountain challenges even the pros as seen during the annual Tour de Georgia when Lance Armstrong, Mario Cipollini and others peddled their way up in the 2004 race.

Local bike clubs regularly ride the Byway route.  Share the Road signs encourage safety and awareness to motorist and cyclists alike.
